Shocking Pregnancy Announcement By Lacey Evans – Is She Really Pregnant?

Published

on

Lacey Evans’ by all accounts legitimate pregnancy will be causing big changes to her program with Charlotte Flair.

Lacey Evans

First and foremost, Evans’ match with Raw Women’s champion Asuka at Elimination Chamber this weekend is presumably off (although as of this writing it’s still listed on WWE.com). Beyond that, the First Lady could stick around for a while, but if she continues working ringside while expecting, it would be a first.

Lacey Evans

So Lacey is probably headed for a sabbatical, but she’s not letting the happy news be cause to break character just yet though.

Lacey Evans

She chastised us nasties just for asking how she’s doing:
And I’m thinking this is a Space Mountain reference, meaning she’s leaning into the implication the baby might be Ric Flair’s, with this:
She’s definitely not doing anything to help Charlotte process that possibility…
Props for keeping kayfabe, and definite congrats to her and her husband on the actual baby that’s on the way. Everything else? Still pretty “ew”, but I’m sure they’d say that’s the point.

Young Rock: 10 Things To Know About Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s New Show

Published

on

Young Rock is an interesting retelling of Dwayne Johnson’s formative years. Here’s what everyone should know about the show.
Fans of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson have been delighted to tune in to the celebrity’s new sitcom, Young Rock. Whether he’s a favorite as a wrestler, actor, or even voice actor from animated films like Moana, people young and old have been tuning in.
It’s obvious from the characters and the fact that Johnson is playing a version of himself (who is running for President in the year 2032) that the series is based at least partially on his real life. Fans seem to be eating it up as well, as the sitcom has already been certified fresh but review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes. But there are plenty of things that are worth understanding about the show before tuning in or continuing to watch.

10
It’s A Breakout Role For The Star

Dwayne Johnson The Rock

Through the episodes, three different actors play Johnson at different ages, plus himself in the present-day (or rather, the future). The focus on many of the first few episodes was on the 15-year-old version of Johnson in high school.

This role is played by Bradley Constant, a young up-and-coming actor in his breakout role. He only has a handful of acting credits to date, including video shorts and a 2018 movie called Following Phil. While he is playing a 15-year-old, it makes sense that Constant is 22 in real life since an ongoing joke is that Johnson always looked older than he really was.

9
Talia’uli Latukefu Was In A Reality Singing Competition

Talia’uli Latukefu play 18 years old version of johnson dwayne

Actor Talia’uli Latukefu, who plays the 18-year-old version of Johnson, was actually an aspiring singer before he became an actor. He competed on Australian Idol in 2004, where he resides.

The actor (and singer) is best known for playing Byamba in the Netflix series Marco Polo, but he has other credits including Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant and the miniseries Devil’s Playground.

8
It’s Based On True Stories

Young-Rock-at-15 years

While some stories might be embellished for dramatic–or humorous–effect, for the most part, the sitcom is based on actual events that really happened in Johnson’s life growing up as the son of a professional wrestler. It tells the stories of the trials and tribulations he encountered before becoming one of the most beloved pro wrestlers around and an A-list action movie star.
Johnson says he sat down with co-creator Nahnatchka Khan and recalled story after story from his youth. If he remembered different things, he would write them down or call and leave a voice message about yet another unbelievable story. The episodes are framed around these stories. So, while not everything happened exactly as seen, everything is based on Johnson’s recollections of moments and events.

7
Yes, He Bought A Car With An Occupant In It

Dwayne Johnson The Rock

In one of the early episodes, the teenage Johnson is desperate to have a car of his own. When a random man overhears him say this, he offers up his battered car for a steal. Only after driving away does Johnson notice a disheveled man named Waffle in the backseat.

He claims this story is entirely real and that he did, in fact, buy a car on a whim with a man he described as being “sketchy” in the back. What is unknown is whether the man, called Waffle on the show, really did buy Johnson and his friends beer and dole out useful life advice before dying right in front of him.

6
He Is Open To Actually Running For President

Dwayne Johnson The Rock

The series is framed in the year 2032 where Johnson is sitting down for an interview with former actor and now journalist Randall Park (also playing himself) to tell stories from his life in order to convince the American people that he is relatable to them. Why? Because he has decided to run for president.

While this sounds like it’s a great way to set up the sitcom, there is some truth to it. While Johnson hasn’t officially announced any campaign plans, he has said in the past that he would be open to running for president one day.

5
Events Might Be Out Of Sequence

Dwayne Johnson The Rock

While all events depicted in the series (so far) did really happen, Johnson admits that some of them might be out of sequence or might have happened in a different location than portrayed on the show. It all depends on how well each helps the story to follow through the different timelines of Johnson’s life since he did move around a lot as a child.
“He’s had such a big life…” Nahnatchka told Deadline, “just telling a linear story is sort of doing a little bit of disservice, I kind of wanted to jump around [in time] and he’s got the experiences to justify that.”

4
It’s Streaming On Peacock And Hulu

Dwayne Johnson The Rock

In addition to being available on NBC week to week, the new sitcom is also streaming on NBC’s streaming service Peacock joining Peacock’s extensive line-up that also includes original series and lots of shows from different eras, notably the ’90s. You can also get episodes on rival streaming service Hulu the day after they air on NBC.

Additionally, Young Rock can be streamed in other places NBC streams, such as fuboTV, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and Sling TV.

3
The Sitcom Follows Three Periods In His Life

Dwayne Johnson The Rock

After listening to Johnson recall many of his crazy life stories, the creators decided on the perfect way to frame the sitcom. It would cover three pivotal time periods in his life: when he was 10, 15, and 18 years old. Three actors were cast to play him at those different ages: Adrian Groulx at 10, Constant at 15, and Latukefu at 18-20.

During each of these time periods, there are important events that shaped Johnson’s life and career, such as the time he spent with famous wrestlers as a young child, his first girlfriend and coming-of-age at 15, and his time playing football in his late teens.

2
Johnson Did Buy His Mom That Cadillac

Dwayne Johnson The Rock and his Mother

Those who watched the episodes so far will note that Johnson’s mother mentioned several times wanting a Cadillac one day when Johnson became famous. Naturally, viewers were wondering: once Johnson did hit it big, did he ever buy her that dream car?

Indeed, he did, and funny enough, he couldn’t remember if she really wanted red or white and ended up choosing white. Sadly, the car was totaled by a drunk driver. But being the good son that he is, Johnson replaced it with another Cadillac, this time in the right red hue that she had always wanted.

1
His Father Passed Away Last Year

Dwayne Johnson The Rock and his Father

Johnson’s father, the famous professional wrestler Rocky Johnson, is featured prominently on the series, played by Joseph Lee Anderson. Sadly, Johnson, real name Wayde Douglas Bowles, passed away in January 2020.

Taking the title of the first Black Georgia Heavyweight Champion and winner of the World Tag Team Championship in 1983, he and his partner Tony Atlas were the first Black champions ever for the WWE.

Alexa Bliss Joins Forces with Randy Orton to Roast Soulja Boy for Calling WWE Fake

Published

on

Soulja Boy has become the talk of the WWE Universe after entering an altercation with Randy Orton. Now, the rapper tried to take a personal shot at Alexa Bliss.

Soulja Boy tweeted a GIF of Bliss inside the ring, but Little Miss Bliss came back with a hard-hitting tweet. She pointed it out to him that what he thinks is her dance is actually her mocking WWE Raw Women’s Champion, Asuka.

Alexa Bliss

Next, she referred to all the times she caused havoc inside the ring, especially with Randy Orton. Finally, she took a personal shot at Soulja Boy and subtly told him she has better choreography skills than him.

With everything that’s going on, it seems WWE will put Soulja Boy in a storyline with Randy Orton and Alexa Bliss if he makes a WWE debut.

Alexa Bliss warned Soulja Boy about Randy Orton’s wrath

Alexa Bliss

When the rapper got into an altercation with Randy Orton, some Superstars reacted to it. Alexa Bliss was one of them. She warned Soulja Boy that Randy Orton was getting angry, and that was not going to end well for the rapper.
Right now, there’s no one better than Alexa Bliss who can vouch for Randy’s wrath. Therefore, when she steps forward and tells someone Orton is becoming unhappy, they should listen.

Why did Soulja Boy and Randy Orton have the altercation?
Soulja Boy getting into an altercation with Randy Orton is beginning to feel like the rapper wants to enter the wrestling industry. It’s possible the entire beef was a script, and the company is trying to create a new angle of rappers vs. wrestlers.

Alexa Bliss

Bow Wow wanted to make his WWE debut as well. While the Superstars did not welcome his news, the rapper believes if he enters the industry, it will lead to massive growth for the company owing to his large fanbase.
Finally, the rapper who has already made his WWE debut is Bad Bunny, who entered the company and soon partnered up with Damien Priest. Subsequently, he’s been getting into altercations with The Miz and John Morrison.
It’s possible the company will put Damien Priest and Bad Bunny in a tag team title match against The Miz and John Morrison in the future.

Do you think it’s wise for the company to convert rappers into pro-wrestlers frequently? Let us know in the comments below.

5 WWE couples that broke up after appearing on Total Divas

Published

on

Total Divas has been going on for over nine seasons now. On the show, fans have seen WWE Superstars’ personal sides, especially the female stars and their partners.

There are always ups and downs in Superstars’ personal lives, and Total Divas has helped the WWE Universe connect with them a lot more. Some couples are still going strong, while a few have even gotten married.

Unfortunately, that is not the case for all, though. A few WWE couples have broken up either on Total Divas or after appearing on the show. Here are five couples who broke up after appearing on Total Divas.

#5 – Former WWE champions Nikki Bella and John Cena

John_Cena_Nikki_Bella

Starting with the most famous breakup in Total Divas’ history, Nikki Bella and John Cena. The one-time IT couple in WWE was one of the show’s main attractions. Unfortunately for them, their breakup also caught the same number of eyes, if not more.

Rumors suggest John Cena and Nikki Bella started dating back in 2012 and they got engaged in 2017 at WWE WrestleMania. However, things did not last long after the engagement. The couple split a year later on Total Divas as Cena did not want to have kids in the future.
PEOPLE magazine (via Republic) managed to get some inside details on the breakup. An unnamed source claimed the break-up was mainly due to John Cena putting himself first. The report read:
“John Cena talked a really good game about having changed, about having his priorities straight, about knowing what’s important, and that it was her (Nikki Bella). But as the day got closer, it was like he just went back to who he’s always been — which is someone who puts himself first, always.”
Nikki Bella is now engaged to Artem Chigvintsev, and the couple is set to tie the knot in November this year. The American TV personality and the WWE Superstar have a child together, Matteo, born in July 2020.

As for John Cena, reports suggest he married Shay Shariatzadeh in a private ceremony in October 2020. WFLA posted a video of the couple taking selfies with their marriage license.

#4 – WWE SmackDown’s Carmella and Big Cass

Carmella is on Total Divas right now with her current partner Corey Graves. The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion has appeared on the show before, though, with her then-partner, Big Cass.

She was on season six as a guest and then on season seven as Paige’s reported replacement. Carmella, Alexa Bliss, and Nia Jax were added to Total Divas in 2017, with Renee Young, Eva Marie, and Paige making way.

Carmella took a big step in her life with Big Cass during her first stint on the show by buying a new house. Unfortunately for them, the relationship did not last long, and the couple split up soon after.
Reports suggest the two had a big fallout, which resulted in arguments backstage as well. It is unclear if the backstage issues took place before or after the breakup.

Carmella is still with WWE, and, as mentioned before, she is now in a relationship with WWE commentator Corey Graves. As for Big Cass, he was released by WWE in June 2018.

#3 – WWE RAW’s Alexa Bliss and SmackDown’s Murphy

Former WWE Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss was on season six of Total Divas as a guest. She was then added to the main cast for season seven. Along with Carmella and Nia Jax, she replaced Renee Young, Paige, and Eva Marie on Total Divas.

Bliss was in a relationship with Buddy Murphy at that point. The couple was even engaged, but cracks were very much visible from the time they appeared on Total Divas.
Their relationship did not get a lot of air time because of the same, and the couple broke up soon after appearing on the show. Alexa Bliss was on the main roster when she made her appearance on Total Divas while Murphy was still in WWE NXT.

Bliss is now engaged to singer and songwriter Ryan Cabrera. The couple has been in a relationship for some time and got engaged in November 2020. Murphy’s relationship status is unknown. However, he was recently involved in an on-screen romantic storyline with Rey Mysterio’s daughter, Aalyah.

#2 – Former WWE champions Paige and Alberto Del Rio

Paige-Albert-De-Rio

Paige and former WWE Champion Alberto del Rio were a couple for some time and even got engaged in 2016. The former WWE Divas’ Champion split with the Mexican in 2017 and slowly revealed that it was the darkest time of her life.

The couple appeared on Total Divas during their relationship, but it was bitter end soon after. Paige even compared Del Rio to Voldermort and stated she would never repeat his name.
Paige spoke on GAW TV when he revealed the abuse she faced from Del Rio when they were together.
“In the beginning, you’re fighting back with this person. But in the end, it becomes a cycle. Eventually, something is happening to you every day. You could be trapped in a room for 6-7 hours, getting your a** beat every couple of minutes. And he’s doing all these crazy things to you.”
Paige has been in a happy relationship with singer Ronnie Radke for over two years. Del Rio is no longer with WWE, and all doors for his possible return are reportedly shut.

#1 – JoJo Offerman and former WWE star Justin Gabriel

Jojo Offerman and Justin

One of the lesser-known WWE couples on Total Divas was JoJo Offerman and Justin Gabriel. The two broke up during the very first season of the show, and it was featured.

Justin Gabriel opened up about the breakup a few years later.

“I didn’t want to be a part of [Total Divas] at all. They filmed some stuff, and I started talking to JoJo because I thought she was a pretty cool person. I never realized she was so young, I think she was like 18 or 19 at the time. I don’t think I can do this. Like, she’s 19, and I don’t think this is going to work. I’m a 30-year-old man.’ And he was like, ‘Ok. fair enough. Then you have to break up with her on TV.’ And that’s the scene they played.”

JoJo Offerman is now in a relationship with former WWE Universal Champion Bray Wyatt. The couple has two children. Justin Gabriel was released by WWE back in 2015, but rumors of a possible return are always in the air.
